Robotics Education & Competition (REC) Foundation Scholarships
The REC seeks to increase student interest and involvement STEM through curriculum-based robotics engineering programs like VEX.
By partnering with universities and colleges to offer scholarship programs, the REC Foundation hopes to encourage students to continue their education and pursue careers in STEM. Globally, more than 500 scholarships are being offered for a total of $15 million!
St. Cloud Technical Community College (SCTCC) Foundation Scholarship
St. Cloud Technical & Community College is excited to support VEX Robotics participants in continuing their educational journey and welcome them into pathways for a career in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics). SCTCC Foundation is pleased to offer (1) full-ride scholarship to a student who is planning on being a full-time student in one of the College’s STEM programs. Applicants must be a full-time student and must have participated in the VEX Robotics Competition for at least two years. Students should be active in the VEX MN community (coaching/mentoring teams, volunteering at events, etc.) while they are a student at SCTCC. Students will be required to submit an essay and a letter of recommendation from their VEX Robotics coach as part of the application process. Coaches should email letters of recommendation to Tina Ward at tina.ward@sctcc.edu and Katie Frank at katarina.frank@sctcc.edu.

Eligibility:
To be eligible to receive the SCTCC Foundation VEX Robotics Scholarship, you must:
- Be a current high school senior graduating in 2023
- Have VEX Robotics Competition participation
To receive the SCTCC Foundation VEX Robotics Scholarship, you must:
- Apply to a SCTCC qualifying program (see full list below)
- Have completed the FAFSA
