SCTCC STEAM Camps

During this 2-day camp, campers will be introduced to common kitchen tools, learn the craft of learn soup-making basics and make pasta and sauces from scratch.
Campers will also take a field trip to the Gorecki Center at the College of Saint Benedict. This camp is a partnership between SCTCC and CSB/SJU.

  • 7th – 12th Grades (in the fall 2026)

S.T.A.R. Camp (Students, Technology, And Robots) is a summer camp for students in 3rd-6th grade. The students work in teams to build, program, engineer, and operate a VEX robot. Campers will learn how robots and technology work by building robots for a game challenge, build their confidence with technical skills, and work in teams to develop life and employability skills.  Additionally, campers will get a brief introduction to manufacturing and tour SCTCC Manufacturing lab space.  They will have fun showing off their skills at the end of the week with a friendly competition! The families of campers are encouraged to come and cheer them on!

Summer 2026 we will be offering two STAR Camps!

  • 3rd – 6th Grades (in the fall 2026)
    • STAR Camp 1 – Designed for students with little to no previous robotics experience.
      • Monday, July 6 – Thursday, July 9, 2026
      • 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM
    • STAR Camp 2 – Designed for students who have previously attended SCTCC STAR Camp for 2+ years AND/OR have been on a competition team for at least one year.
      • Monday, August 3 – Thursday, August 6, 2026
      • 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM
    • Registration will open in Spring 2026

Introduction to Tools Camp is a summer camp for students in 4th-6th grade. The students are exposed to commonly used tools.

  • 4th – 6th Grades (in the fall 2026)
    • Monday, June 15, 2026
    • 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM
    • Registration will open in Spring 2026

Campers will participate in activities that will help them learn all about how clean, safe water is important to the health and well-being of communities and the environment.

  • 7th – 12th Grades (in the fall 2026)
    • Monday, June 29 – Tuesday, June 30, 2026
    • 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM
    • Registration will open in Spring 2026
