Students do the work. Adults support and teach.
Global Robotics Student-Centered Policy
The Global Robotics & Science Foundation's Student-Centered Policy establishes the expectation that students are the primary designers, builders, programmers, strategists, and decision-makers for their teams. Adults play an important role by teaching, mentoring, and providing guidance, but the work and decisions belong to the students.
Teams attending the Minnesota VEX Robotics State Championship are expected to understand and follow this policy. Students should be able to explain their robot, code, engineering design process, and team decisions, demonstrating ownership of their work and learning.
