Register to volunteer and help create an exceptional experience for students, teams, and spectators.
How to Register
All volunteers must register through the official Minnesota VEX Robotics State Championship volunteer website.
During registration, volunteers will be asked to:
- Provide contact information
- Indicate volunteer role preference(s)
- Share availability
- Request a preferred volunteer T-shirt size
- Indicate any relevant certifications you currently hold
- Identify your relationship to team(s) competing
- Indicate whether you're a VEX alumni
- Share how you learned about the volunteer opportunity
- Provide age information when required for specific volunteer roles
- Complete required volunteer waivers and acknowledgements
Providing complete and accurate information helps event leadership assign volunteers to roles that best match their interests, experience, qualifications, and availability.
Role Assignments
We make every effort to place volunteers in positions that align with their preferences, experience, and certifications. However, volunteer needs vary from year to year, and some roles may have limited openings. Submitting a preference does not guarantee assignment to a specific role.
Assignment Changes May Occur
Volunteer assignments occasionally change due to event needs. We appreciate your flexibility and willingness to assist where needed to help create a successful experience for students and teams.
Changes may occur before the event or during the event as staffing needs evolve. Event leadership will communicate assignment updates as soon as practical.
Register Early
Volunteers are encouraged to register as early as possible. Early registration helps event leadership:
- Plan staffing needs
- Coordinate training and certifications
- Order volunteer shirts and materials
- Order meals for volunteers working a full day
- Communicate role-specific information in advance
While volunteer shirts are typically provided, preferred shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed for volunteers who register after January 15.
