Guidance on attire for volunteers at the State Championship.
What to Wear
Volunteers play an important role in creating a positive and professional event experience. Please dress comfortably while maintaining an appearance appropriate for a youth-focused educational event.
Volunteer Shirts
Official Minnesota VEX Robotics State Championship volunteer shirts will be provided whenever possible. Volunteers are encouraged to register early to help us accurately order shirt sizes and quantities.
While we make every effort to accommodate requested sizes, preferred shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed for volunteers who register after January 15.
Volunteer Identification
During check in, volunteers will receive a name badge. Volunteers should plan to wear the name badge throughout their volunteer shift to help participants and event staff easily identify them.
Recommended Attire
- Comfortable pants, jeans, or khakis
- Comfortable closed-toe shoes
- Layers or a light jacket, as temperatures may vary throughout the venue
Additional Notes
- Many volunteer roles require standing and walking for extended periods.
- Some volunteer positions involve working around robots, competition fields, carts, and other equipment.
- Volunteers should wear clothing and footwear that allows them to safely and comfortably perform their assigned role.
